Marriott Resort and Spa builds in Cibolo Canyon Resort

SAN ANTONIO (San Antonio Express News)Principal Real Estate Investors, in a joint venture with Miller Global Properties, has broken ground on a more than 1,000-room JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa in Cibolo Canyons.

The Marriott will be part of a 2,800-acre, mixed-use residential project featuring two Tournament Players Club championship golf courses designed by golf legends Greg Norman and Pete Dye.

The hotel is expected to be completed in spring 2010.

Cibolo Canyons is expected to generate more than 2,000 permanent jobs, 5,000 construction jobs and more than $1 billion in tax revenues over 25 years.
